Beyonce released a new video, but not for an upcoming single.
Queen Bey remixed her “7/11″ video to celebrate the Supreme Court making gay marriage legal in the United States on June 26th. In the 15-second clip, Yonce is decked in colorful wigs and rainbow garbs as a shout out to the gay community as she channels her goofy side once again to celebrate this milestone for same sex couples.
One of Beyonce’s former backup singers is accusing her of being a thief. Ahmad Lane, a former backup singer, alleges that he wrote Beyonce’s hit “XO” first and that Bey stole it from him, Radar Online reports. Lane has filed a $7 million lawsuit against Bey.
According to the documents, Lane says that while singing background for another artist along with fellow background singer Chrissy Collins, who also sings backup for Beyonce, he shared his song “XOXO” with her. Lane believes that Collins shared the song with the “7/11″ singer.
Lane says that “XO” “allegedly copies the first four bars of an eight bar melody that is looped,” and “contains a four note sequence that is similar to the four note sequence” of his song.
On June 5th, Beyonce responded to these claims saying that she is world renowned singer who has sold 118 million records and won 17 Grammys and does not have to resort to such measures to birth a hit song. She called the allegations “vague and cryptic” and said that the two songs have no similarities besides the “X” and the “O.”
Yonce’s attorney also stated that the two songs are also different in nature, with Lane’s song featuring lyrics about “being horny” and “wanting to love every inch of the lover’s body.” Beyonce’s “XO” was described as a “celebration of love and life, emphasizing the importance of living in the present with a loved one ‘before our time has run out.’”
Beyonce and her legal team are fighting to have the case dismissed.
J. Beez Wit the Remedy is the third album by the Jungle Brothers, released during June 15, 1993 on Warner Bros. Records. The album was the result of much label trouble, where Warner Bros. constantly rejected the group’s offerings. The album in gestation was originally titled Crazy Wisdom Masters and features some considerably experimental Hip Hop for the time, as well as production from Bill Laswell.
Though the final album is considerably more conventional, experimental tracks are still in evidence, including a few left-over from the Crazy Wisdom Masters sessions (e.g. “Spittin’ Wicked Randomness,” “For The Headz At Company Z”). A few additional tracks from the Wisdom sessions have been bootlegged or leaked online.

Drake and Beyonce are teaming up again for another duet for his Views From the 6 album. The full song, titled “Can I,” has not been released but a 12-second snippet has hit the ‘net. The song serves as their second time around joining forces on wax together. They hopped in the booth together on “Mine,” from Bey’s 2013 self-titled album.
