A funny thing happened as President Barack Obama works his way to the end of his time in the White House. According to a new CNN Poll, former President George W. Bush is now more popular than current President Barack Obama. 52% of respondents gave Bush a favorable rating while only 49% said the same of Obama. Unfavorable rating was 43% for Bush and 49% for Obama.
As reported by Breitbart News, this is the first time that Bush has been in positive territory since leaving office in 2009.
Bush’s favorable ratings pale in comparison to both his father, President George H.W. Bush (“Read my lips, no new taxes”), and his predecessor, President Bill Clinton (“I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky”). They each had 64% favorable ratings and unfavorable ratings of 30% and 33% respectively.
