New York Times: No Mohammed drawing, but Pope made out of condoms is just fine

New York Times

Really, New York Times? Really?

Back in January, the offices of French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo were attacked by terrorists who took issue with the newspaper publishing pictures of Mohammed. Charlie Hebdo responded by publishing another picture of Mohammed on its cover, which resulted in it becoming the biggest issue they had ever released. Newspapers around the world reported on the cover. According to the Huffington Post, the New York Times was the only Top United States newspaper to not publish a picture of the new cover. The paper told the Huffington Post, “Out of respect to our readers we have avoided those (Mohammed images) we felt were offensive.”

Yet the New York Times had no problems posting an image on Monday of Pope Benedict XVI made out of 17,000 condoms.

I guess the New York Times doesn’t find that offensive. Or they aren’t afraid of Roman Catholics showing up at their offices and gunning everyone down.
